23 and Me!

Good afternoon. I am so happy and grateful that you are reading my blog. My life is so busy lately but in the best way possible. I am having so much soul growth that I can't even describe how good that feels. Recently, I've involved myself in a new business that I am absolutely enjoying so much. Also, I'm waiting on results from 23andme.com and I am very excited for the news.

How many of  you have not heard about 23andme.com?  Well, I had been hearing it advertised on the radio for awhile and I just could not resist the urge any longer to look them up on the Internet and research what it was all about.  In brief, it's a DNA testing facility that has the capability to discover your ancestral roots and many different health issues for a reasonable fee.  I decided to take the plunge and order my DNA kit. I also ordered one for my husband.

I don't have an actual picture of the kit itself. I forgot to photograph it. Anyway, when your package arrives the first thing you do is go online and register your tube with the number on the bar code. Then, you spit in the tube up to the fill line, then when you close the funnel over the tube it releases liquid into the tube and mixes with your saliva. Then you package it up and put it into the prepaid box you see above and ship it back to them. Then in a couple of weeks or so, you'll get an email with your results. I am very excited to see mine, and I'm hoping that it will lead me to discover relatives I've never met before.

This is a batch of mail that I recently sent out. I've been doing swaps again. I felt like I needed to do swap some mail to get me writing again. So, my penpals, thanks again for being patient with me.

This was from a sticker swap I believe.

Yesterday, I received my business cards in the mail.
I love them.  They are a three panel two-sided business card.

Here's what it looks like on the front of the card.

I did not photograph the back of the card.
You will get a chance to see it when I send you one, if you are a pen pal or you are a reader who requests one. The thing I like about these cards is that you can use them as a bookmark too.

Well, that's it in a nutshell.
I'll continue to post different types of things on here that arrive to me via snail mail.

Have a fabulous day everyone.
I am so grateful for you alll.

Life Updated!

These are some postcards I sent out at the beginning of October, as well as a couple of swaps.
I have been so busy lately and I am extremely happy with my life right now.

I want to thank all my pen pals who are still waiting patiently to hear from me.
I haven't forgotten about you.
Briefly, since I'll be updating you with more details in my letters to you, here's what I've been up to lately.

Classes:  Lots of classes varying in specific subject matter, but all closely connected to the metaphysical realm or spiritual realm.

Exercise:  Dahn Yoga four days a week at minimum.
Evening bike rides.

Nevada Camera Club: I am a member and the secretary.

Domestic Duties:  I'm a stay at home wife so I take care of the house and my husband.

Oh, and I just got involved as an independent distributor for a card company.
If you'd like to check out my website to see what I'm involved in please send me an email or leave your email address in the comment section and I'll send you a link. So far, I LOVE what I"m doing.

This is my postcard board where I pin all the latest postcards.
But of course, some of my favorites have been up on the board for a long time.
But the new Postcrossings always go up on the board as well as postcards from friends and swaps.

The board is always changing.
Each time I take down an older postcard and replace it with a new one, the old one gets put in a decorative suitcase that I purchased at Michaels.  I also have a bigger suitcase for all of my pen pal letters.  It's a great way to store them because it looks great and I can easily access them if I need to re-read a letter or two or three or more. You get my drift, I'm sure.

If my office wasn't such a mess, I would have taken a wider view.
My desk, oh my is the worst. I'm sure you will never see a photo of that unless a miracle happens.

All my postcards from postcrossers, friends, family, and swaps.
(pen pals are considered friends now)

Well that's my life in a nutshell lately with lots of little things in between.

I hope to catch up with you on paper very, very soon.
